This Refund Policy applies to all paid purchases on Trustburn for business — subscription plans (Starter, Growth, Pro) and one-time purchases (a single News & Press article, or a month of Priority Spotlight placement).
1. How to request a refund
You can submit a refund request within 7 days of your purchase, through our Support page. Include the email address on your account and the payment or order you're asking about.
The refund is usually issued within 7 days once your request is submitted, back to your original payment method.
2. What's covered
Refund requests are reviewed case by case. We're generally able to approve a refund when the paid feature genuinely wasn't delivered as described, when you were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge), or shortly after a subscription purchase made by mistake and not yet meaningfully used.
3. What's not covered
To keep this fair for everyone, refunds are not available once the service has already been delivered or consumed, including:
- A News & Press article that has already been published, or that has already gone through moderation review — the placement service was rendered.
- A Priority Spotlight period that has already run, in whole or in part.
- A subscription billing period that has already elapsed, or a monthly allowance (such as an included News & Press article) that has already been used.
- Requests made after the 7-day window in Section 1.
- Accounts suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service.
- Repeated refund requests on the same account that suggest an attempt to use paid features for free.
Trustburn reserves the right to make the final determination on any refund request.
4. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops future renewals immediately, but — outside of the 7-day window above — does not refund the portion of the current billing period already paid for. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
5. Chargebacks
If you're unhappy with a charge, please contact us first — most issues are resolved faster this way than through a bank chargeback. Filing a chargeback without first requesting a refund may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is reviewed.
