As VP of Technology for the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society (OCHRS), we have been so pleased with Back40 Design for website development and support. We just migrated our site to be WordPress based from their Javelin CMS and couldn't be more happy with them.

After two previous successful website projects with Back40, we reached out to them to assist us with a complete redo of the website for our restaurant, Barnstormer s Grill and Event Center. In addition to updating the site with a fresh and clean look, we also wanted to highlight our catering and event space. The Back40 team listened to what we wanted and came back to us with a design and layout that hit the mark: a sharp look that still incorporated the restaurant s elements of vintage aviation; a custom interior page that shined the spotlight on our event space and catering capabilities; and an easy-to-use content management system via Wordpress, giving our not-so-technical team a user-friendly way to make updates and changes to the site. As usual, Back40 made the website process simple from conceptualization to launch.

Back40 was very easy to work with on our new website and willing to make changes as needed during the development. The quality of the site was just what we were wanting and is very user friendly.

Dave, Rachel, and the company dog Bailey were so great! All 3 met me at the door when I first walked in. The offered me a beverage and then we got straight to work. I initially came in for help on fine tuning my already existing website. Rachel gave me her undivided attention and worked thoroughly through every question I brought in. She gave me additional tips about things I hadn't thought of yet and we were done in about an hour. I highly recommend this company as it is modern yet personable, friendly, as well as time and cost efficient!

Back40 Design started out as a great company. I thought man this is going to be great. They bring you in for a consultation show you what they can do and plan to do it. I paid them my initial fee and the race was on. I got daily updates and information as to what was going on. Then they finished the development phase and we moved to the content phase which is when they started to move over my initial websites content. Oh, and they wanted the final payment. I thought everything was going great up to this point so why not and I paid them the final payment, which I was misled to thinking it was due once the website was finished not at the end of the developmental phase. This is where everything changed and I went from feeling like their only client to hey when are we going to finish this client. Everything went to a standstill. I didn t receive any updates and every time I went onto the website nothing had changed. To my fault I may of misrepresented how I felt initially since I was in the middle of moving into a new house. I told them that I wasn t in any hurry. I guess that was keyword to stop but what I wanted to let them know is that if they needed anything from me that it was going to take some time for me to get to it. So weeks went by with no communication between me and their company until I finally contacted them and said hey what s going on only to find out that they hadn t done anything. I was really disappointed. Finally, we got to the point to go live with the website. It was a great feeling to see my brand-new shiny website online for the world to see until I opened up my inbox and saw an additional invoice for $250. I called them and they told me that was for the SSL. I thought for $250 what was I running a fortune 500 banking website? I had already agreed to run my website on their hosting plan so I assumed like most other hosting plans out there comparable to cost usually comes with an SSL but nope. Once everything was complete they just gave me my website files and refused to install them onto my new hosting account Basically, I would not use this company again to build another website and highly recommend you really think about how they have treated me as a client. I am still shocked that they just handed over a file to me and didn t even assure that my website was working. I am currently filing a lawsuit with this company for breach of contract since they didn t finish the project!!

The people at Back 40 Design are fantastic! They are always available to help, should I have questions or need information for our website. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to create or improve their existing website. Christina and the whole crew are the best in the business, in our opinion!

The Philip Hayden Foundation is a nonprofit, and our previous website designs had been completed by short term volunteers.
