Je joue au Kora au sein de mon groupe Afro Buffle depuis des années et le système ISCHELL s'est imposé comme un incontournable. Satisfied avec l'ISCHELL pour ma guitare classique Ramirez Estudio 3 en cèdre. Restitution excellente avec clarté, puissance et nuances, sans coloration ni déformation. Après installation, le système est parfait. Avant, la sensibilité était trop importante et le larsen était quasi permanent. Maintenant, la robustesse est étonnante. Même à 1 m de mon enceinte Yamaha DXS 12, je peux couvrir les autres instruments sans problème de retour, le coupe bas en position flat ! Bref, un système exceptionnel moyennant un peu de rigueur à l'installation.

I’ve been using the X-Jack system from ISCHELL for my double bass for half a year now, and the sound is incredibly natural. While I mostly depend on my piezo pickup during loud performances, I usually send both signals to the sound engineer because the mic adds a wonderful sense of "air" to the mix. For medium-volume gigs, this Ischell gear is my go-to. I even put it head-to-head with a well-known high-end microphone in the studio, and we were all shocked by how identical they sounded—the difference was barely noticeable. I highly recommend it. The instruction manual was very helpful. Note that finding the perfect mounting spot on different basses can take 30–40 minutes, but shifting the mic just a few millimeters can dramatically change the tone, almost like an equalizer.

I mounted it on my gut-stringed Salvi Egan Celtic harp and found the perfect spot right away—the middle section between the strings and the side. Plugging it into my Acus Cremona amp resulted in an amazing tone: warm, powerful, and crystal clear. It’s perfect for looping live. J’ai installé un micro ISCHELL X-Jack sur ma contrebasse ¾ et le résultat dépasse mes attentes, surtout couplé à un ampli Schertler Jam 200. La reproduction du son acoustique est fidèle, sans distorsion, avec une belle chaleur et une précision remarquable. L’installation demande de la patience et de la rigueur, mais l’assistance d’ISCHELL à Saint-Herblain a été réactive et compétente. Contrairement à d'autres solutions, ce micro, placé sous la cheville et collé sur la peau, restitue fidèlement la résonance naturelle des cordes sympathiques en bronze. Le confort sur scène est idéal : je peux envoyer le son à la régie via XLR tout en ayant un retour amplifié personnalisable. Pour un résultat optimal, veillez simplement à bien rouler le boudin pour une étanchéité parfaite à l'air. Je le recommande vivement aux passionnés de kora et de kamalé n'goni.

J’ai testé le micros ISCHELL sur un oud et je suis vraiment satisfait du rendu. Il faut juste prendre un moment pour bien positionner la source sonore. Je l’ai également utilisé sur scène, complété par un autre micro pour plus de présence, et le résultat était excellent.

Excellent choix pour les harpistes ! Chez ISCHELL, on sent la qualité. Le système fonctionne très bien avec mon ampli Acus8, que ce soit en jack ou en XLR. Une petite astuce : assurez-vous simplement que la mousse anti-larsen soit bien ajustée pour éviter les fuites d'air. Résultat : pas de larsen, et un son propre, avec des aigus brillants et des graves bien définis. J'ai aussi testé le microphone sur une table de mixage de salle de concert (48 pistes en XLR), c'est tout aussi fiable. Le test sur le violoncelle est aussi concluant : installation simple et son très précis. Pour ceux qui débutent dans l'amplification, que ce soit pour un petit combo ou une scène type théâtre de 800 à 1000 places, c'est la solution idéale : esthétique, efficace et sans complication.

Picking up the ISCHELL X-Jack was a smart move for my bass. Having phantom power and standard 1/4" inputs side by side offers serious versatility. It is truly plug-and-play, and the build quality is solid. While the 9V battery option might not hit as hard as the 48V XLR connection, it is incredibly useful for gigging with amplifiers that lack phantom power. Overall, the sound is excellent, and I would highly recommend this system for any acoustic bass player.
