I first verified the wiring by running the AC on house power, which worked perfectly. Then I connected it to my Honda EU2000 generator. Initially, I tried starting it in ECO mode, but the delay caused the generator to struggle with the surge. Since I’m at over 5000 feet elevation, where generator output drops significantly, that mode wasn’t quite enough. However, switching off ECO mode allowed the AC to start instantly and run flawlessly.
